£9,393 gifted in 2025: Twitch - my subs, gift subbing and related charities donations + Patreon fees

£9,393 gifted in 2025

So i took a look at this in January last year so i wondered what 2025 was in terms of Twitch - my subs, gift subbing and related charities donations + Patreon fees

Being one of these middle aged sorts I am a late discoverer to twitch.  I sort of found it when looking at content for Eve Online around 2022.

And my first gift sub was in May 2023 to ContempoEnterprises who is still going strong.

Since then i now pay monthly subs to some content creators i like, get involved in gifting subs, donate to Charities fronted by Eve content creators on Twitch and contribute to Patreon fees.

When i checked how much i had given since the start to the end of 2024 i found that the answer was £15,000.

So, i was wondering what the gifting value was for 2025.

The answer is £9,393.

. . . . . . and its all in my budget, so no worries there.

Therefore, total given to content creators and their charities up to the end of 2025 = £24,000

Looking at 2025

Monthly Subs (=£410)

I currently have monthly subs for 9 content creators.  They come at about £5 per month.

contempoenterprises (full 12 months)

oz_eve (full 12 months)

eve_university (full 12 months)

funinc (full 12 months)

bigglesworthxd (full 12 months)

theoneandonlysidar (full 12 months)

nth_dimensional (full 12 months)

EveMiner01 (that was new in 2025 and still going, 10 months)

warping wombat (that was new in 2026, so does not count for 2025)

Gift Subs (=£6,146)

I have gifted 1,525 subs.

This is where i gift a monthly sub to a specific or random member of the audience.  I can gift anywhere from 1 to 200 subs at any one time.  And i suspect i have done the complete range.

I will say right now as i said it last year, Twitch do it well and they know what they are doing: starting or sustaining a hype train is exhilarating; gifting with less than a minute to go on the hype train is great fun; taking content creators to new records puts me on a high.

That said, i am noticing that the content creators are keeping less of the gift subs and therefore i am happy to donate to content creators using alternative channels if they prefer.

There was a surprisingly small list this year.

oz_eve - gifted 1389 subs

theoneandonlysidar - gifted 56 subs

contempoenterprises - gifted 54 subs

schadsquatch - gifted 15 subs

. . . . . and then a few others (including one World of Tanks content creator) making up the rest.

Most commonly in batches of 5 at a time, singles are the next common and then a few 10s and 20s, 4 100s and 1 mighty 200.  Though i now see that the max that can be gifted in one shot is 1000.

Content Creator Direct Donations (=£700)

These are donations for now that are direct to a content creator for a specific task.  If the content creator has publicised the reason then i can name them, otherwise they remain anonymous

Anonymous - content creator lost their job £700

Charities (=£1,732)

Eve players often have 24 hour charity streams for their favourite causes which i donate to.  Mostly in none GBP currencies.

schadsquatch / ExtraLife $1000 (i can see a £798 so i am guessing this is it)

schadsquatch / The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation CAD + USD = £175

schadsquatch / Canada's Children's Hospital $642 (£490)

Eveminer01 / St. Jude Children's Research Hospital $200 (£153)

not sure who / Gamers Outreach $152 (£116)

Patreon - Eve related (=£405)

I also contribute to Patreon for the following Eve Content generators, some monthly and some annually.

The Oz (Oz_Eve) for 1 year, ongoing =£186

Declarations of War for 12 months, ongoing = £144

Eve Tycoon for 12 months, ongoing = £75

What for 2026?

Well, this all depends on the content created and calls on my money from other deserving parties (i.e. political Parties, but that is a subject not for here!)

New Podcast - Eve Compass

There is a new Eve Online Podcast in town.

It is only on youtube at present.

Eve Compass.  Describes itself as "EVE Compass: EVE Online industry guides, Podcast, tutorials, career agent walkthroughs, ship fittings, and relaxing space ambience for sleep."

Content to date

Six videos to date, 2 of which are interviews with Eve Players.  One on an Industrial Corp in Null-Sec and one on a Fuel making corp in High-Sec.  3 general guides and 1 ambient music video.

Early days but well worth a listen.

Summaries of the two interview videos

Null-Sec Industry in Providence: Arkenstone CEO DEATHROE Annages

The episode features DEATHROE Annages, CEO of Arkenstone Foundries Inc, discussing how to build and run a null‑sec industrial corporation in Providence.  It covers his journey from solo mining in 2012 through wars, burnout, rebuilding with real‑life friends, and ultimately running a thriving industrial group under the Reeloaded alliance. The conversation dives into corp management, buyback programs, PvP balance, Catalyst‑patch impacts, and long‑term ambitions.

Crimson Desert Wins Awards - launch due in just under 3 weeks

This is a Pearl Abyss post - nothing directly to do with Eve Online.

But helpful for the Pearl Abyss financials which i review every 3 months and their Full Year results each year.

The 17173 Game Awards is an annual year-end ceremony that selects winners through user voting and editor evaluations for games that gained attention throughout the year.

Crimson Desert, the coming game to be launched on 20 March 2026 won in two categories.

Most Anticipated Game by 17173 Users - the only other none Chinese game was also Grand Theft Auto VI.

Global Anticipated Title Selected by 17173 Editors

Good news for Pearl Abyss - plenty of free marketing.

The reason i noticed this is that the share price today rose 12% on what is a tough day in the market
