But following Oz and theOneAndOnlySidar creating their own music (both available on Spotify: The Oz song Green Lines Climbing High and TheOneAndOnlySidar songs) i thought i would give it a shot.
I am using Suno - i have absolutely zero musical abilities myself.
Suno
This allows me to put in a simple description of the style, genre, instrumentation of music i am trying to create to let the magic of AI to do the rest. Includes adding lyrics. The whole song is created.
I used copilot to create the lyrics.
Suno then puts it all together. First shot was pretty decent.
What i found easiest was to get copilot to describe music that i liked in the suno prompt format. That gave me loads of ideas on how to create a description of the music i wanted to created.
Marvellous.
I thought up the song titles! Can't leave it all to AI. Got to keep one step ahead of Skynet.
On a more serious note - this is a live example of how AI will change careers. The songs i produced would have cost thousands of pounds and many days using expertise that would take several years to learn. And there was me producing it in under an hour, on my first attempt with Suno.
Future steps
I have only been testing this for a few hours but i am hooked. I can easily see myself producing an album of music i like related to Eve Online.
My songs so far
Both Eve Online trading related. Both relaxing. No loud ballads from me. yet.
Trial music
I was actually trying to get the lyrics fit into this music and this music the AI created. But the addition of the lyrics changed things a bit.
I clearly have more to learn in how Suno works.
