As part of my Christmas tidy up i talked about in my last post, i am also in the process of liquidating surplus inventory that has gathered around the place and is now being couriered back to Jita.
A number of my characters held anywhere from 1 to 5 billion of random assets, In the past i would merely take them back to Jita and put them in containers.
No more - they are now being sold into the Jita market. There is good liquidity so i am confident everything will be sold around early 2026.
Items being sold
We are talking about items ranging from a few thousand isk in price (rigs) to a quarter of a billion (ships).
I will hold onto the random items i get awarded to me over time, if only for sentimental value. Though any ships awarded are being sold.
I estimate that this clear out comes to around 20 billion isk of sales in December and perhaps 10 billion in early 2026.
And feels good to get my Jita containers looking less like a jumble sale.
Inventory that i am keeping as part of my Business Model
I will continue to hold items in Jita, that are seeded in Regional Markets, to be couriered out to Regional Trading hubs to be sold when required.
For sure, i am adding an additional leg of courier costs but it makes life much easier knowing everything can be accessed on the Jita market or in my Jita Inventory. And, i pass the cost of the additional courier leg onto the end Buyer.
In all that means i am carrying 220 billion isk of assets in Jita as part of my ongoing business activities = about 9% of my wealth.
Onwards to 2026
And i am making strident efforts to march into 2026 with clean accounts. I feel that 2026 will be a battle in the area of Regional Trading.
